Deep Rest with Yin and Yoga Nidra in Tonbridge

This deeply restorative practice combines long-held, meditative yin poses with the healing rest of Yoga Nidra – a guided meditation practised lying down, supported by blankets and props for complete comfort.

As you slow down, you’ll begin to tune inwards. Yin yoga works with the meridians (energy lines) to release tension, improve mobility, and support the body’s natural balance. After the physical stillness of yin, Yoga Nidra invites you into a state between waking and sleep, enhanced by calming sound healing. It’s a powerful way to soothe the nervous system, boost immunity, and reconnect with yourself.

Perfect for anyone seeking rest, replenishment, or simply a little more space to breathe.

Why Practice Yin & Nidra?

Yin yoga is a meditative yoga practice that involves holding passive poses for 3 to 5 minutes.

It is based on the Taoist concept of yin and yang, the meridians (energy lines) and incorporates principles of Traditional Chinese medicine.

The stretches can be particularly useful if you feel stiff to increase mobility. It also improves sleep and the immune system as we work with the meridians to eliminate energy blockages.

Yoga Nidra is a restorative practice, a form of guided meditation. You will be lying down on the floor and make yourself as comfortable as you can, using a blanket to cover your body, props will be offered for extra deluxe experience.

You will draw your attention inwards. You will be in a state between awake and asleep, listening to my voice, sound healing will be played to enhance your experience.

The restorative practice through Yoga Nidra will rebalance your nervous system, boost your immune system, relax your tensions and promote alignment.

Candice Machtus Yoga and Qigong practicing yoga indoors on a yellow mat, performing a seated side stretch, with large windows showing green trees outside.

Candice is a brilliant yoga teacher. I needed to reconnect after a stressful year and found Candice via a friend's recommendation. I am doing the beginners course and having never practiced yoga before it is very gentle, insightful and just what I needed. Candice explains each sessions goal and then we work slowly through each movement together, being corrected where needed to make sure we stretch correctly to not cause injury. I love the names of some moves and also the intentions behind them to bring calmness. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Candice.
